Jimmie Massie: The Experience and Leadership Needed for the Issues Facing Henrico County and Virginia

Jimmie Massie is a successful and accomplished businessman with deep roots in the community. He has applied these experiences and common sense to state government.

Jimmie was first elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in November of 2007 and he serves on three committees:

1. Appropriations
2. Education
3. Rules

A Successful Entrepreneur and Small Businessman Who Creates Jobs

Jimmie Massie is an entrepreneur and small businessman who knows what it’s like to start and run a small business.

After a successful career in marketing, finance, and investment banking for major financial institutions, he started his own merchant banking firm in 1990.

Since then, he has provided equity capital to start-ups, businesses and for commercial real estate transactions, enabling private sector growth and the creation of numerous good paying jobs.

A Leader in the Community

Jimmie Massie is more than just an active member in the community – he is a leader, working to make Henrico and the Greater Richmond area a better place to live. He is a member of Third Presbyterian Church where he was a Trustee and served on the church’s budget committee.

He has served as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors of The Family Foundation of Virginia.

He has also served on the Board of the University of Virginia’s College of Arts and Sciences Benefactors Society.

Jimmie Massie has been very active in the Republican Party for more than 20 years, including numerous Virginia campaigns, and is a member of the Henrico County Republican Committee.

Understanding Our Community and Its Values

Jimmie Massie understands the issues that are facing families today. He and his wife of 33 years, the former Elizabeth Susan Wallis, have lived in Henrico County for more than 25 years. Elizabeth is an engineer, a substitute teacher, and is now Director of Annual Giving for Needle's Eye Ministries. Jimmie and Elizabeth have raised four children together: Jimmie IV, a 2008 UVa graduate, William, a 2010 UVa graduate and Becky, a 2014 UVa graduate, and John who is currently a student at UVA.

Jimmie Massie was raised in Richmond, and is a product of Richmond-area schools and is a University of Virginia (“UVa”) graduate, where he graduated With Distinction with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Jimmie Massie is an active outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, scuba diving, hunting and fishing.
