Jimmie Massie is a successful and accomplished businessman with deep roots in the community. He has applied these experiences and common sense to state government.

Jimmie was first elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in November of 2007 and he serves on four committees:

Finance,
Health, Welfare and Institutions;
Counties, Cities and Towns; and
Education Committees.

A Successful Entrepreneur and Small Businessman Who Creates Jobs:

Jimmie Massie is an entrepreneur and small businessman who knows what it’s like to start and run a small business.

After a successful career in marketing, finance, and investment banking for major financial institutions, he started his own merchant banking firm in 1990.
Since then, he has provided equity capital to start-ups, businesses and for commercial real estate transactions, enabling private sector growth and the creation of numerous good paying jobs.

A Leader in the Community:

Jimmie Massie is more than just an active member in the community – he is a leader, working to make Henrico and the Greater Richmond area a better place to live. He is a member of Third Presbyterian Church where he is a Trustee and serves on the church’s budget committee.

He has served as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors of The Family Foundation of Virginia.

He has also served on the Board of the University of Virginia’s College of Arts and Sciences Benefactors Society.

Jimmie Massie has been very active in the Republican Party for more than 17 years, including numerous Virginia campaigns, and is a member of the Henrico County Republican Committee.

Understanding Our Community and Its Values:

Jimmie Massie understands the issues that are facing families today. He and his wife of 26 years, the former Elizabeth Susan Wallis, have lived in Henrico County for more than 20 years. Elizabeth is a substitute teacher, and they have raised four children together: Jimmie Jr. a 2008 UVA graduate, William attends UVA, and Becky and John, who are students at Collegiate.

Jimmie Massie was raised in Richmond, and is a product of Richmond-area schools and the University of Virginia, where he graduated With Distinction with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Jimmie Massie is an active outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, scuba diving, hunting and fishing.
